Making it possible with three bottom lines

FairFishing has been established based on leveraging Corporate Social Responsibility policies of the Nordic Private Sector with an annual budget of approximately USD 400,00 to date which has mainly been donations of cash and equipment, in-kind services, and logistical support. FairFishing uses the social, environmental and financial bottom line framework the evaluate our performance: We must stay true to our name and be Fair on people, planet and profit.

Corporate Social Responsibility in action

FairFishing has taken a sequenced approach, by identifying problems, and responding to them with local and technological know how while at the same time embedding CSR in its every step.

COLD STORAGE

Five freezer containers were delivered by Maersk Line. With cold storage, the partners could catch more fish.

FISH PROCESSING EQUIPMENT

E. Espersen Fisk provided equipment for processing and treatment of fish, which added value to the fish products. The fish from the FairFishing station is known for its quality.

NETS AND FISHERY EQUIPMENT

Daconet and generous fishermen from Bornholm provided nets and fishery equipment based so that the fisher community could fish differently, and catch different types and amounts of fish.

KEEPING FISH COOL ALL THE WAY TO THE MARKET

Rockwool has supported with insulation pads that’s secure the fish can be distributed over long distance with the right temperature.
