Nominated for the Sustainary’s 2019 SDG Tech Award in the Social Benefits Category
Nominated for the CSR Abroad Award 2015 for our partnership with Maersk Line:

“The partnership is a groundbreaking and strong example of how a CSR initiative can create shared value. The FairFishing station is generating financial revenue in a local community that is commonly known abroad for piracy and refugees fleeing to Europe’s shores. At the same time, it provides Maersk Line with a base in an area that is well on the way to becoming a regional trade hub. This innovative concept should inspire other businesses to try roads less travelled within CSR.”

Nominated for the 2013 INDEX Design to Improve Life Award in the Community Category
Winner of the 2012 Livia Award:

“The award goes to Jakob Johannsen, who initiated Somali Fair Fishing – a project which embodies one of the strongest and most beautiful principles in peaceful conflict resolution: Getting to the root of a conflict, thinking creatively and initiating brand new, previously unthought solutions – rather than meeting fire with fire or giving up.”
