What if pirates could become fishermen instead?

… That is the question that started it all. At the height of Somali piracy, a few Danes wanted to address the root causes of piracy, by creating better livelihood opportunities in the area. And just like that, the NGO FairFishing was born.

Today, almost ten years later, FairFishing is still working to create better living through fresh fish in the Horn of Africa. We have established 9 fish stations and markets, trained hundreds of people in different aspects of fish, and help increase the incomes of poor fishers by 300%. And we are just getting started.
